Embroidered, slowly.
A garden,
on every
shoulder.
Élan is a quiet atelier of embroidered floral totes — each one stitched by hand over many days, in heavy canvas and silk thread, by artisans we know by name.

Chapter One
The art of the stitch.
Each Élan tote begins with a sketch — a meadow remembered, a single bloom from a grandmother's garden. From there, the canvas is hand-cut, the design transferred in chalk, and the slow work of embroidery begins.
We work in silk floss and cotton thread, in tonal palettes that read like watercolour. A single bag passes through three pairs of hands. Forty hours, sometimes more.

The Collection
Each bag, a story in thread.
Our promise, in seven words
Carry what matters.
Grow what inspires.
A bag is just a bag. Until it carries a book your mother gave you, the bread you bought on a slow morning, the small things of a life. We make ours to be the bag those things deserve.
The Arrival
An opening,
slowly remembered.
Every Élan arrives in a matte cream tin — magnetic, reusable, signed with a single black mark. Lift the lid and find a small seed packet waiting on top. Beneath it, wrapped in soft tissue, your bag rests quietly. Three small moments. One long memory.

Step One · The Tin
A cream tin, signed in black.
Matte cream finish, soft-rounded square corners, magnetic-style closure. Inside the lid, a single line in black ink — a small promise from us to you.
"Every journey begins with a small seed."
Step Two · The Seed
A biodegradable packet, a small garden.
Resting on top: a small kraft envelope of wildflower, marigold, or sunflower seeds. Three-step planting instructions inside. Plant it. Watch something quiet begin.
"Plant this seed and watch something beautiful grow."
Step Three · The Tote
Wrapped in soft tissue, your bag.
Beneath the seed packet, your tote rests in cream tissue paper, tied with a single waxed cotton string. The reveal is slow on purpose — you've waited, the bag has been waiting too.
A quiet promise
We don't believe in throwaway luxury.
The tin becomes a keepsake. The seeds become a garden. The bag, in time, becomes an heirloom. Nothing is meant to be discarded.

In her hands
Carried like a love letter.
We make our bags for slow mornings, for market days, for the long quiet of an afternoon spent reading. Heavy canvas softens with use. Embroidery deepens with light. The bag becomes yours.
