Chapter Two
Forty hours, six pairs of hands.
We don't make many bags. The ones we do make pass slowly through our small atelier in Khan Market — through Lakshmi's sketches, Reema's chalk transfer, Anjali's flowers, and finally Mira, who signs her name in the lining.

N°01
The sketch
Each design begins on paper — a remembered meadow, a single bloom from a grandmother's garden.
N°02
The cut
Heavyweight cotton canvas is cut by hand and the pattern transferred in chalk, never printed.
N°03
The stitch
Silk floss in tonal palettes builds each flower across many quiet days at the loom.
N°04
The signature
Every finished piece is numbered and signed in the lining by the maker who finished it.
"Every bag carries a small piece of the maker. That's the part you can't see — but you can feel it, every time you pick it up."
— Mira, founder
